FEMINEN Steering Committee
Edie Bates currently leads the steering committee for FEMINEN, Females in Engineering, at Enbridge. The first official Employee Resource Group (ERG) created at Enbridge, FEMINEN was founded in 2012 as a strategic initiative to further the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. FEMINEN’s mission is to increase the attraction, engagement and retention of female engineers and technologists, within the organization, by facilitating opportunities for members to network, develop and learn from each other.
In alignment with senior leadership, the steering committee is pursuing the goal of having females constitute 30% of Enbridge’s engineering and technologist talent pool in the Edmonton area by 2030.
